Danny John-Jules on RI:SE

Danny John-Jules appeared on CH 4's RI:SE this morning to talk about the Screen Nation Film & Television Awards ceremony held later in the year.

It's a minority event night to celebrate the input into the industry that people like ourselves make... And go basically and pat each other on the back and say "Well done." We don't get to really go to the 'lovey' ones.

Danny was later questioned about his role in Blade II:

Iain Lee: You're in a car park with Wesley Snipes. He starts bad-mouthing a member of your family. Who's gonna win in that bare knuckle fight?
DJJ: I don't know 'cause I've run.

Sadly, nothing about Red Dwarf - The Movie was brought up.

Update (09 August 2003):
It turns out that DJJ was in fact interviewed about Red Dwarf - The Movie during his appearance on RI:SE. But being a lazy git, I was still in bed at the time. Apparently I also missed a phone-in.

Anyway, DJJ assured us that "it is very funny," and that filming starts later in the year. (Has filming been pushed back yet again?)
